It’s seldom that you find a really funny, clean entertaining alternative dispute resolution (adr) advocate, advisor, mediator, arbitrator, educator, trainer and a good captivating improvisational speaker with a thousand-watts smile on his face. .

Sheo K. Sharma (Dr.SK) is one of the rare individuals who is equally adept at advocating, facilitating, evaluating adr session or presenting high content training and speeches. He excites, educates and always entertains.

Over the span of past 35 years Dr.SK has conducted over 400 mediation sessions  as an adr pro bono for Los Angeles, California Superior Court, as an employee of a major chemical industry, as a management executive of a renowned healthcare delivery & management organization, as an owner and employer of a travel and tourism company and as a mediation & negotiation team member of respective trade industries in diversified environment. These Internal Conflict Resolution Mediation sessions were not just limited to employer employee relationship, employment discrimination, institutions and human resources, management v. health care providers v. health care end user but also included the vendors v. management, consumers v. service providers, family relationships, personal injury, civil harassment, sexual harassment, product development & intellectual property, educator v. students and government organizations. 

Dr.SK describes his experience this way: "I am part of all I have met. Life is a play. I have never in my life learned anything from any man who agreed with me. Everybody lies, but it doesn't matter because nobody listens. If the only tool you have is a hammer, you tend to see every problem as a nail. Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws . No law or ordinance is mightier than understanding. The only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation. Unlike fine wines, disputes do not improve with age. 

Present work and future goal: In recent years Dr.SK has been dedicating his time in mediating litigated cases as a full time mediator and arbitrator. At the same time, he is acquiring in depth understanding and knowledge through practicing, designing, implementing, training, mentoring, observing, writing and speaking in and about alternative dispute resolution and cross-cultural negotiation. Dr SK goal is to be an effective adr advocate in national and international arena, especially in South & Far East Asia region.

Like Henry Ward Beecher said; “It’s easier to go down a hill than to go up. Dr.SK chose to go up, because, the view is much better at the top".

Dr.SK speaking typically includes several keynotes at conferences and many invitational speeches at prominent educational institutions, major corporations, public and private organizations in USA, UK, Philippines, Mexico and India. In the year 2008, 2009 and 2010 Dr.SK gave entertaining speeches on “Leadership” and conducted seminars on “Mediation as an effective alternative for dispute resolution” for Delhi and Madhya Pradesh (India) State  High Courts honorable judges, justices and leading lawyers. He was also privileged to deliver educational and entertaining speeches on “Dispute Resolution and Leadership development” to the Judicial, Peace officers and Public administrators of Madhya Pradesh and Chattishgarh state governments at “Noronha Academy of Administration & Management”  Bhopal (MP) and at Chattishgarh Academy of Administration Raipur (CG), India respectively.
